I especially love The Healing Hydration mist: Rose, Aloe & organic St. John’s Wort with its citrusy scent, yum! The Lavender is wonderful to spray on just before sleep. Thank you so much for another terrific recommendation. They were only $4.95 each, very much worth it! They ship fast too.”

Bearpaw Jasmine Sandal
I am flying home from a trip to my hometown of Rhode Island to visit my mom, dad, sis, brother-in-law, niece Rachel (11) and nephew Frank (14). We celebrated Frank’s birthday . The trip was great, as usual. Frank did accuse me of infecting his sister with a “Shopping” virus. We had little time for shopping but Rachel made sure that we fit it in. We spent time at Kohl’s, Famous Footwear, Chico’s & Target. I had never shopped at Kohl’s. I really enjoyed shopping there and Rachel got two cute tops. She chose two pairs of Bearpaw clogs at Famous Footwear and got PJs at Target. It was Sunday and the stores closed early but we were still able to get in a couple of good hours of shopping. Next time we will do some serious shopping. Oh, and I bought a snowmobile for me and my guy to enjoy during our upcoming winter visits to Rhode Island!

You’ll want to give Hydrate leave-in conditioner a try. Hydrate creates an acrylic seal on the hair to seal in moisture, improve elesticity and reduce breakage. You can use it every day or just when you feel like your hair needs an extra dose of moisture. It conatins five humectants. Humectants help retain moisture. I like the shape of the bottle and the pump top cap. You can get it at Walgreens.

This is such a simple & cheap item and it makes me so happy! I just love this e.l.f. professional Eyelash and Brow Wand. It really helps to define my brows after a perfect waxing and in between appointments. Created for e.l.f. by make-up artist Scott Vincent Borba, the brush has been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly into your hand. It’s also great for finishing lashes after applying mascara. It’s only $1!

BLOX your tops! I have a bunch of expensive Ts and found a great way to block staining them before I wear them. BLOX is a really cool in-wash stain blocker that is dermatologist tested & eco-friendly. You put it into the fabric softener dispenser before each load. Its stain repellent technology is activated once the garments are washed and thoroughly dried in the dryer. Go to preventstains.com and learn about the millions of small stain blocking “umbrellas” that make BLOX work.

Sarra Shoes by Eileen Shields
I wrote about patent leather Mary Janes in my blog last evening. Tonight, I was flipping through the August/September issue of Working Mother magazine and on page 16 I found a hip pair of patent leather Sarra shoes by Eileen Shields. The heel looks pretty high so the folks at Working Mother suggest slipping in a liner for a little extra pampering. They say that daintyfootings.com has liners that will make heels feel like flats!

Manolo Blahnik Patent Leather Mary Jane
This is taken from one of my “Fave” reads Fashion 101, A Crash Course In Clothing by Erika Stadler.
Ultra-shiny patent leather is one of the most popular materials used to make Mary Janes. To create the shiny finish, layers of dyes, oils, varnishes and/or resins are applied through a process developed in 1818. By the end of the century, patent leather became a popular material for the footwear of wealthy school children and adults. By the 1950’s the material was widely used for the footwear of children of all economic classes.

We got the August/September issue of Healthwise magazine today. The beautiful Mariel Hemingway, Oscar-nominated actress, is on the cover. “Beautywise” spotlights some great new products including Brush2Go! make-up. This makeup is so cool! These foundations, bronzers and blushes quickly and easily dispense pure minerals through a soft refillable brush. The Aromatherpaes shower tabs are great for winding down in the shower when there is no time for soaking in the tub. I have got to order Meditation Bliss, the book. It’s by David Fontana. Being that I just rolled up my yoga mat, the Happy Yoga Mat Wash on page 12 quickly caught my attention! I am getting comfy and ready to read Deborah Agosta’s Mariel Hemingway article now. To find out more, visit Healthwise on-line (in the blogroll).

Her tank is by Daftbird. She is wearing Anlo jeans. Readers can enter to win $100 gift cards for their favorite stores and a Grand prize of a $500 gift card from Victoria Secret Pink. “The Look Beauty” tells us that Dark nails are in for Fall and so are Bungee-Cord braids! China Glaze’s Ink Collection of polishes is featured. The collection includes cuticle oil and free decals. We find out that Gwen Stefani is launching Harajuku Lovers fragrance, a line of five adorable new perfumes. I am lovin’ the Popcorn by Rocket Dog nylon parachute boots!
